Welcome! I am Lazar Dragić, a PhD student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
I earned my BA in Chinese Language from Sun Yat-sen University and my MA in Communication from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2023, I began my doctoral studies at CUHK as a recipient of the prestigious Hong Kong PhD Fellowship.
My research explores the individual and societal impacts of digital technologies (e.g., digital media, social media, AI). More specifically, I employ both quantitative (surveys, experiments, content analysis) and qualitative methods (interviews, observations) to examine how digital communication technologies shape mental health and attitudes. My current research projects investigate how digital media use can help mitigate stress and promote well-being among sexual minorities, as well as how media consumption influences attitudes toward marginalized communities.
